moving on

Well rosebarnett is closing up shop and restarting as twice designs. I've decided to focus on repurposing used and old materials into new items. The exciting news is that I'll be relaunching under the new name at Mathilda's Market in May. I've been selected as a Fabulous Find - it's a bit like a scholarship and very exciting.

Along with the new blog will be a new place to buy my designs online. I am closing down my etsy shop and as of May www.twicedesigns.bigcartel.com will be up and running with items for sale in Australian dollars.

So thanks for all the comments and feedback and please check me out over at www.twicedesigns.blogspot.com

kindness

I don't normally shop at Coles and I rarely have cash on me but today it was on my way home and I had forgotten that they have a coin-operated trolley release system. A $50 note wasn't going to be much help. As I stood in front of the chained-up trolley imagining what the cashier would say when I asked for change for the trolley, a lovely woman came up to me and gave me a dollar. Just like that. I was quite overwhelmed. I managed to scrounge 90c to give to her but she clearly wasn't expecting anything in return. Wow. Don't things like that just make your day!

Carnivale 2121 - 2

Last year the community of North Epping were so moved by the Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria they launched Carnivale 2121 - a community event aimed at reaching out to others. They raised $13,000 for a group called Firefoxes who are helping families and individuals rebuild their lives after the fires.

On Sunday, March 28 Carnivale 2121 is on again. They will be continuing their association with Firefoxes.

And like last year I'll be having a stall full of the usual goodies.

Carnivale 2121
North Epping Oval, Boundary Road
Sunday March 28
12noon - 6pm

Hope to see you there!
