Last year the community of North Epping were so moved by the Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria they launched Carnivale 2121 - a community event aimed at reaching out to others. They raised $13,000 for a group called Firefoxes who are helping families and individuals rebuild their lives after the fires.
On Sunday, March 28 Carnivale 2121 is on again. They will be continuing their association with Firefoxes.
And like last year I'll be having a stall full of the usual goodies.

Rained out ... again
I'm not a superstitious person but it seems that every time I do a market at Mosman it rains. There have been a few notable exceptions including the 45 degree day where the only person making any money was the ice-gelati man. But once again rain has arrived on the first Saturday of the month and it was so damp and windy that the market had to be cancelled. :(
I shouldn't complain. We really need the rain. And I do have infected sinuses and feel dreadful. So yesterday I had a snooze and hung out with the kids instead. Every cloud has a silver lining.
I've also put a bunch of stuff on madeit.com.au so please feel free to take a look!

Mosman this Saturday!
Well it's the first market of the year, for me at least. I'll be at Mosman Markets on the Village Green from 8.30am til 3pm on Saturday February 6.
I have a whole bunch of vintage baby wear, mostly handmade, to sell at a bargain price. But I'll also have the usual brooches, jewellery and paper goods.
I've made up some new groovy vintage paper packs including some truly funky flash cards ready for framing. Hope to see you there!
