Well Saturday was a lovely day. The market was really nicely organised with little lolly boxes for all the stallholders and other helpful people on hand. I was very self-controlled and saved my sweets for the kids. Ok I may have had one or two but it was probably the almond croissant that saw my healthy eating truly undone.
Silly me forgot to take my camera so you'll just have to picture it.
But fortunately Sarah Saliba from Gifts Created was there and she has emailed through this picture. (Problems with blogger mean I'll have to upload the shot later!) Sarah makes amazing mobiles and softies. We have one of her gorgeous owls from the Stitches and Craft show. For more images of the Allies Attic market visit Sarah's blog here. She said some lovely things about me too! :)
Unfortunately there were so very many lovely things for sale that I had to buy some handmade goodies for the kids for Christmas. I even found a handmade dress for Lucy in a size 8! Most designers stop at 5 or 6. Thanks oshii!
I had some gorgeous customers stop by and chat with me about vintage things and buttons and other lovely things to get all worked up by. Special thanks to the wonderful lady who bought THREE of my vintage car and map pictures. One for each of her sons. That made my day. As did meeting Lisa of The Red Thread and Mia of The Raisin Did It.
This weekend I'm hoping to check out Magnolia Square which is another pop-up market held in Sydney and Melbourne. It's a long way out of my reach but I want to take my girl and check it out. I especially want to see Mandy Sutcliffe the artist behind the wonderful Belle and Boo. Now if I had a shop hers would be the first things I'd be getting in.
