1. Elijah was a big fat baby. He was born by c-section as I had had a tricky time delivering Lucy. Throughout the pregnancy I had discussed this (ie argued about this) with my doctor. I wasn't that keen on having an operation - he was convinced that baby no.2 was bigger than Lucy. So when Dr H pulled him out he grinned at me and said, "I was right Sarah, he's a bruiser!" Show off.
2. If there is anything that rolls or bounces, Elijah will kick it. Actually he will pretty much kick anything whether it rolls or not. If there's no ball to be found, Mr E will be just as happy kicking a plastic bottle or a squashed can. He is sport mad and wants to start a family-tipping contest for next year's ARL. Obviously gets it from his father's side.
3. His favourite colour is yellow. His favourite music is Colin Buchanan and the Violent Femmes (apart from the Robin Mark song, "Days of Elijah"). His favourite fruit is rockmelon. His favourite Bible story is when the prophet Elijah had the showdown with the prophets of Baal. His favourite activity is... well I think we covered that.
4. When he was smaller and playing hide-and-seek he used to say, "Coming or ready not!" He doesn't anymore and I miss it.
5. He has an uncanny knack for diffusing conflict. (When he wants to he can also walk up to conflict and poke it in the eye). But generally he can make a joke or do a dance or just do his cheeky grin and we'll all forget why we were cross in the first place.
5.1 Once when I kept calling Jacob Elijah, Elijah said, "Mum, maybe you just should have called both of us Elijah."
