What's Hot and What's Not Wednesday - 3

What's Hot and What's Not

What's Hot

1. Remembering to participate on a Wednesday!

2. Watching my lovely husband and eight-year-old try to outdo each others' "serious" faces.

3. Children's books. At the moment I am loving Oliver Jeffers, Freya Blackwood and of course the amazing Kate diCamillo.

4. Doing this post once a week. It reminds me of just some of the gazillions of things I have to be grateful for. Thanks Looby Lu!

What's Not

1. Large native birds in cages. How can it be legal or right for people to sell lorikeets and cockatiels and cockatoos to be kept as pets? I don't get it.

2. My inability to return /make phonecalls within a socially acceptable time.

3. Other parents swearing in front of my kids.

I am really bad and only remember to call my 95 year old nan at 7.30 - 8 (when kids are in bed)
Only problem is, she goes to bed at 6.30! so I have to wait and ring her next morning... Chele

We love Oliver Jeffers too. The Incredible Book Eating Boy is Bethany's favourite book. I love it even though there is throwing up in it!

I am hopeless with phone calls too! Just can't seem to get it right.

Freya Blackwood's illustrations are so beautiful. Amy & Louis is one of our favourite bedtime books.
