According to Tim, today is perfect weather for Boxing Day. Cool, rainy but sunny in Melbourne - optimum conditions for staying at home and watching the first day of the Cricket Test. No guilt about racing to the beach or playing outside. The kids are happy with their new acquisitions and we're mostly so full from yesterday that eating is not really required.
I'm taking advantage of the family's contentment to try and get this appalling mess that is my study tidied up. How I wish I could keep things in order. I am just a hopeless messer and I always have been. Maybe I'm missing a vital gene. I know I'm missing large swathes of brain function that were lost somewhere between conception and delivery. I've been back to the hospital twice now to find those brain cells but I fear they're lost forever....
But on the bright side take a look at these Christmas goodies! (how's that for a segue to some lovely stuff!)
Mum bought me a copy of The Crafty Minx - which I can't wait to get started on. It's sitting on top of my new Kartell coffee table that Tim found. Groovy baby!
This is the wooden alphabet I bought from Bookhou for Tim for Christmas. I just love Bookhou's lovely designs. If I ever had my own little shop I would sell these beauties.
Have a lovely and safe holiday and see you in a tidy 2010!
x Sarah

Lovely looking book (I heard her interviewed on 702 the other night). I always knew your Mum had impeccable taste!
